On March 26 Hilpert Electronics AG held their first "X-ray day" at the Technical University Brugg-Windisch, Switzerland.
Almost 60 representatives of well-known Swiss electronics companies attended the day long seminar in order to learn about the principles and applications of microfocus and nanofocus X-ray technology for non-destructive testing.
The programme that was performed by Thomas Marbach of Hilpert Electronics, Jens Luebbehuesen of phoenix|x-ray and Dr. Holger Roth of phoenix|x-ray contained speeches on the function principles of X-ray tubes and systems, an introduction to practical applications, an overview about the phoenix|x-ray systems and modules and current innovations in this field, radiation safety matters and X-ray inspection services.
One of the highlights was the application demo performed by Dr. Holger Roth who gave an introduction to image interpretation and system handling with a package|analyser nf. Many attendants offered own samples for inspection and the demonstration lead to a vivid discussion. Visitors were particularly impressed by the high image quality and sharp images achieved with the package|analyser nf.
