The pcba|inspector is a high resolution microfocus X-ray inspection system dedicated to the process control and FA of printed circuit board assemblies. By combining a small footprint, high quality X-ray source and a large inspection area, the pcba|inspector offers inspection versatility more commonly seen in systems twice its price. With the addition of a large capacity tilt axis, even large PCB assemblies may be orientated to provide the optimum viewing angle, of particular relevance when inspecting BGA voiding and wettability. phoenix|x-ray also offers two optional image processors to further enhance the capabilities of the system. The image|optimiser, running on a Windows NT*platform, provides the user with a range of image processing functions most commonly used in a production environment. The image|explorer, also running under Windows NT*, is phoenix|x-ray's most advanced image processing, specified for failure analysis applications.
